how sephora has impacted my relationship with beauty.
Sephora to me is my big sister, someone I’ve always looked up to, the person I’ve always gone to for advice, for support, and for help. She’s been there for all special occasions and will continue to be. I aspire to be her; she is someone I can always count on and never lets her imperfections hinder her from celebrating every day and living in the present. She embraces who she is: a real girl, in real life.
Sephora has taught me that beauty is complex: it’s about addressing your specific needs and being honest with yourself and confronting the complex relationship we all have with our bodies. Sephora has taught me that beauty is ever-evolving and its definition is different for everyone since we all blossom in our own ways, which makes us unique. Sephora’s wide variety has laid the foundation for the inclusive beauty movement that celebrates real people, in real life. Sephora to me is not just a business, Sephora is a movement. Sephora is more than a retailer but a community that speaks the same language. I feel that anyone can confidently go into Sephora and feel protected and assured they are getting safe and effective beauty products.
Sephora is the birthplace of my affinity for beauty and self-care. The bright lights and exciting aisles of Sephora sparked my interest in skincare, makeup, and fragrance. As I got older, I continued to naturally gravitate towards Sephora and my experiences with its brands has taught me most of what I know about beauty today.
